What is Fulton Place?

It’s a top-quality Greensboro community designed especially with UNCG and NC A&T students in mind. Fulton Place features a variety of spacious apartments plus a full set of community features such as a swimming pool, 24-hour fitness center, business center and more.

Is Fulton Place part of UNC Greensboro or North Carolina A&T?

Fulton Place is a privately owned and professionally managed community. Click here for more information about the management and ownership.

Can I live with friends, or can you match me with roommates?

You can select your roommate(s), or you can apply on your own and we can match you with other students. Applicants answer a short list of lifestyle questions to help in the matching process.

What are per-person contracts?

Instead of requiring all roommates to sign a joint lease, each person at Fulton Place has their own individual contract, with one person per bedroom. This means you are only responsible for paying for yourself — not your roommates. Even if a roommate moves out or other bedrooms in your apartment are empty, you only pay the rate for your bedroom.

What is included in the rate?

Each resident at Fulton Place pays a flat rate that includes:

  • Furniture package
  • In-unit laundry
  • High-speed internet
  • Water/sewer
  • Trash disposal
  • Community features – swimming pool, fitness center, etc.

What size are the apartments?

The spacious accommodations at Fulton Place range from 2 and 3 bedroom apartments, with a private bedroom-bathroom suite for each resident.

Are the apartments furnished?

Fulton Place is fully furnished. The furniture package includes a full-size bed, desk and chair, nightstand and dresser in each bedroom. The living room includes a sofa, chair, coffee table and end table. The kitchen includes a dining table with chairs.

When do the contracts start and end?

The standard term is August 09, 2023 to July 22, 2024, with payments made in 12 equal installments. Limited alternate dates are available; please inquire with our staff. Click here for a sample agreement.

Is a co-signer or financial guaranty required?

Within 7 days after a Housing Agreement is signed, each resident is required to do one of two things: provide a qualifying guarantor (often a parent), or pre-pay the final 2 installments.

Can I pay by credit card?

Yes. Residents can pay online 24 hours per day, by credit card or ACH electronic checking. Fulton Place also offers automatic payment by either credit card or checking account — just fill out one page, one time and payments will be made automatically. Convenience fees apply for credit card and debit card payments.

Will my financial aid cover charges at Fulton Place?

Your living costs at Fulton Place can be covered by financial aid, just like on-campus housing. Any available financial aid funds, after university charges are satisfied, are released to the student for non-institutional expenses, such as off-campus housing. These funds can be used to pay charges at Fulton Place. Normal payment deadlines will continue to apply.

Is Fulton Place open to non-students?

Fulton Place is designed and offered for students at University of North Carolina at Greensboro or North Carolina & State University. The per-person contracts are also designed with students in mind. Therefore, applications are accepted only from students at one of these local colleges or universities. Fulton Place is an Equal Opportunity housing provider and welcomes student residents/families with children. There is no extra cost for minor children in the care of adult residents, other than regular charges for each bedroom space selected by the resident. A minor occupying a bedroom space rented by a parent, guardian or person with legal custody is not considered a breach of the Housing Agreement or a violation of the rules. In order to match student roommates in shared apartments, we will request roommate consent for any non-student occupants.

What kind of safety and security are provided?

Fulton Place has a monitored fire-sprinkler system, along with electronic locks plus individually locking bedroom doors. Community courtesy patrols are provided at select times. Management staff are also available 24×7 and can be reached by a 24-hour phone number.

What are the policies on pets, smoking and guests?

Fulton Place is a pet-friendly community, subject to limits on animals and breeds. The community is smoke-free in all indoor and adjacent spaces. Guests are welcome at all times, subject to the consent of apartment-mates and security considerations. Overnight guests are welcome, with limits on the number of days and guests.

Can I park my vehicle at Fulton Place?

Fulton Place offers free on-site parking for residents and guests.

What other transportation options will I have?

Fulton Place is conveniently located less than a half-mile from the UNCG campus, making it easy to walk or bike to classes and school activities. Greensboro Transit also has bus stops nearby on Fulton Street and W Gate City Blvd. The GTA bus service operates Monday through Friday from 5:15am to 11:30pm, Saturday from 6am to 10pm and Sunday from 6am to 6pm.

Can I see a model apartment?

Although we do not currently have a model apartment, we offer a virtual tour that can be viewed here. You can also request an appointment for a personal tour, or just stop by to see us and we’ll be happy to show you the community.
